Deep Freeze in the Deep South?

I know you folks who live where there are REAL winters will scoff at my whinings, but it's January 16th and for the first time this winter, I broke down and put on my winter coat. It is 20 degrees with a wind chill of 13 with an expected high of 38. The worst part is I just overheard the administrators saying we are scheduled for a fire drill this morning! Just shoot me now and put me out of my misery!
