Most people who remember the events of 9/11/01 can't help but reflect upon that tragic day for all Americans. We, the most powerful and most protected people on earth, had been attacked. That was unthinkable, but it happened. I was new at Huntingdon High School (in Tennessee) that year. When the news came on about was was happening in New York, I was in the Media Center with my new friend, Elizabeth Lott. She and I stood together and cried together as we watched the horror unfold. Just as all Americans seemed to pull closer together, Elizabeth and I formed a bond of friendship that has grown stronger with each passing year. I am reminded that amidst the tragedies of life there is a peace that comes with knowing that you have someone you can count on no matter what happens. God bless America and God bless my friend, Elizabeth Lott.

You update almost as good as I do. We were so happy to see you again, you make me feel like I'm home. You are such a great lady and I know we knew each other before. What a crazy way to be able to be together again. Thanks for taking such good care of my daughter and her family, I know it makes it easier for Erin having you there. Please continue to watch out for her, she needs you a lot, and it gives me great comfort knowing that you are there for her. I hope your feeling better. My nails are still so pretty :) Thanks again and know that I love you.
